But there is growing concern the area may be in trouble so scientists are investigating ways to preserve its fragile beauty. John Day Canyon

It's a leisurely float trip down the John Day River as we see spectacular scenery and learn a lot about the local history of Native Americans along the way. Tag along with Little Creek Outfitters on an interpretive and scenic journey down the lower John Day River. Jeff Van Pelt, of the Umatilla Indian Reservation tells the story Indian culture.
