- At her home and studio on a horse ranch in Tumalo, Danae Miller demonstrates her unique method for creating bronze sculptures. Like many artists, she uses a lost wax process, but rather than sculpting the wax into a model, she pours it out in slabs. The ragged slabs then become the building blocks for her rough, almost unfinished-looking animals. A foundry translates the shapes into bronze, and Miller adds the patina herself.
