The Florestan Trio, made up of piano, violin, and cello, have been the artists-in-residence at Portland State University since 1977. The same three faculty members have played together all those years, maintaining full time teaching schedules while performing and touring internationally.

Dance Company Bodyvox

Portland, OR is home to the innovative dance company Bodyvox. Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland, art directors/founders of Bodyvox take us through the creative process of building a production. Bodyvox draws on a wide variety of dance practices: modern, hip hop, classical. Collaboration with visual artist, Tad Savinar plays a vital role in this production. Elements of humor and a sense of magic are a necessary component in drawing in the viewer.

Salem's Riverfront Carousel

Every horse has a story to tell on this lovely riverfront attraction in Salem. That's because community volunteers carved the horses and put some of their own lives into their work. Visit with creators of the project and watch the artists at work. Woodcarvers and painters tell their story as they put the finishing touches on their horses. Then it is installation time and the final joyful moment of opening day.
